Our Founder
Meet Erica
Where design expertise, construction knowledge, and real estate strategy come together.
Erica Garcia is an NCIDQ-certified and state-registered interior designer, real estate managing broker, licensed general contractor, and founder of House Curate Company. With more than 20 years of experience, her career has spanned interior design, architecture, construction, real estate, investing, home staging, and new residential construction—giving her a uniquely comprehensive understanding of the places people call home.
Her path began in construction at just 19 years old, where she discovered an appreciation for watching ideas take shape from the ground up. She later earned her degree in Interior Design, developed her expertise within an architecture and design firm, and continued expanding her knowledge into real estate, construction, and property investment.
Over time, Erica recognized a disconnect between industries that are inherently connected. Design decisions affect construction. Construction decisions affect value. And real estate decisions are often influenced by both. That realization became the foundation for House Curate Company—a multidisciplinary firm created to bring those perspectives together.
Today, Erica works with homeowners, real estate professionals, builders, and investors to create and improve properties with intention. Her approach considers far more than aesthetics. Function, lifestyle, construction, marketability, long-term value, and the way a space will ultimately be experienced all play a role in the decisions she makes.
Her technical background is equally important to her creative work. Erica believes exceptional interior design requires more than an eye for beautiful things; it requires an understanding of space planning, construction, building codes, accessibility, materials, and how design decisions translate from concept to reality.
